FLOAT TUBE SECTION We are very slowly entering the age of the FLOAT TUBE in Stillwater Fly Fishing in the UK. In the last twenty five years the sport spread into Europe from the USA gaining initial footholds in Denmark, Sweden and Holland. In the last year Yet More Public Access Stillwaters opened up to the technique in the UK - there are now 60+ listed in England and Wales - 25 years ago there was just the one bold one - Thornton!! As major reservoirs open to the tube, the scene just gets better and better. We personally pioneered the introduction and the assessment and development of basic equipment and accessories. Steve still tubes twice a week on average and under a cross license deal with U.S.WoodRiver has developed the British V Boat expertly modified for our specific condition requirements in the UK - and incorporated the safest Bladder Systems in the World - the Sparton Triple Bladder ! Frankly we make our Bass Bags out of better material than the rest of them make their Float Tubes out of - we assume that they don't float tube themselves - or if they do they want to die of it !

I am delighted to announce the successful completion of our long term project to undertake the manufacture of our own bladder system in house. I will not bore you with the details – the cost was horrifying ( £5 K + ) - but I went ahead and did it anyway ! This is my baby believe me and I wasn't happy with anything outside my personal control and now it isn't ! So we now make backrests and bladders for our own stuff and we can repair any accidental damage as a direct result and very quickly too. Also we can make good safe Triple Bladder systems for all other forms of U and V type float tubes - like Ron Thompson , Snowbee , Caddis , Buck Bag and three other sorts thus far – if the material isn't too badly crapped we can repair splits punctures and cracks on bladders made out of PVC , Strated PVC , Polyurethane Sheet or Bonded Polyurethane. Frankly we can probably even repair your inflatable plastic girlfriend ! So if you have a problem – give us a ring and we will sort you out if anybody can ! By the way - we formally test each bladder to double lung powered inflation ( 4psi ) before we send it back to you ! We have our own pressure guaranteed impeller ! TRIPLE BLADDER SYSTEMS – WHY ? Let's suppose you are a long way offshore and something horrid happens to a bladder – one plonker in the USA for instance stubbed his cigar out on his tube and wondered why it then nearly killed him - the resulting lawsuit he brought also went against him ! If you have one bladder in your tube you do have a potential problem with a slow leak and a long way to go – but if there are three separate cells you'd have to be startlingly unlucky for a penetration accident to be anything other than a slight nuisance – That's why they have to have minimally two separate engines on planes crossing oceans – passenger safety !
